Some examples of possible employment options in the classroom are:
- Leader of syllables
- Leader of decoding
- Leader of complex sounds
- Leader of numbers 1 to 100
- Leader of 2D and 3D objects
- Leader of sight words
- Leader of gender (aka feminine/masculine words)
- Leader of expression and intonation
To be hired for a position, students are either approached by the classroom teacher or apply for a position. The teacher places the student in a role in which they can flourish and correctly help their peers. The student is then offered a particular position and has the option to accept or refuse the employment option. Possible positions will change as new topics and content are presented in class.
All students have an employment option and are praised for their individual strengths.
